I might not come up with a specific reason but the fact is, this is one of my favorite photos so far!
The innocent smile that you see on her face lightened the moment and that is what my blog is all about.
Life give us happiness's in fractions,seconds and moments, so here I dedicate this photo to all of you my friends, who have been with me all this time ( even during my absence) keeping my blog and my passion alive..... forcing me to come back, again and again, reminding me that life is not all about making a livelihood !!

Well the girl in pink dress, who is sitting on the driving seat is not just my team mate but the driving force behind this blog & behind all that I do.

And the guy you see in blue shirt, who is having all the fun is "ME".....ya...visiting places, clicking photos, capturing stories, getting to know you guys,learning new skills, techniques, enjoying all the appreciation and encouragement........ its been so much fun.

But the journey would have never been possible without you guys who acted like fuel for "Moments", every one of you has added something or the other to my experience.

Not a photograph!!!.. a small story..

About 1 year back..when I was at Bengaluru, one day while working on a site, I met this little kid with a small smile...he was really very naughty. Soon we got into conversation, but suddenly he asked me for my cell phone, when i asked why? he said that he has to call some one.. i took the number from him and called. I kept on trying to connect ...but in vain, finally i asked him whose number is it?? he replied.. its my mother's number. I couldn’t understand why then it kept saying that the "number does not exist “ all the time. At the end, after finishing my work, I took a snap of my little friend and came out of the building.
But, before getting in to my cab....i looked back to have a glance of the building...there was a board hanging on which it was written ….."Orphan House"........the little friend of mine belonged to that orphan center, he had never seen his mother, he was one of those kids who are given false numbers telling that those are their parents numbers. ..where as, they have never had a father or a mother . Each time i remember the innocence on that kids face..i ask myself..how can anyone do this..... such a painful punishment to such innocent kids??????

It was one of those hot afternoon of Orissa and I was on my way to Phulbani. Our bus halted at an isolated place. I felt relived as because it was so hot and the bus was over packed, I really needed some fresh air.
I came out and looked around, the whole placed looked dry,empty & lifeless. There I saw this old women sitting alone to one side of the road and selling green chilies,dry chilies, garlic,ginger,lemon & mangoes. They looked fresh but no body brought anything from her. It seemed as if her business has not yet started but she was patience. I waited for some time hoping this bus might bring some relief to her wrinkled face but it did not, our bus gave the final horn and passengers climbed up to their respective seats before leaving, I gave a final look to see if there was anything of my use but couldn't find anything and I did not feel like questioning her self respect so I moved ahead leaving her alone with a respect for her and many questions in my mind.

I started this painting around 12 years back but could never finish it......now dont ask me the reason! Lets put it like this, "It happens".
Its one of my favorite painting out of my small collection.
Meera Bai has a long history but for that you have to check Wikipedia. Mine is a creative blog and I'm not good in fact bad when it comes to writing. Lets see may be when i'll be 60 yrs old then I'll try my hands on writing. I hope to see you guys and not abandon.
To me, Meera Bai is an expression of love & devotion.

As a site engineer, i'm used to a lot of travelling and foods of all kind. During one such visits, i landed at this very remote area and was invited by our care taker to the only hotel for lunch. Though it served usual midday meal, I requested the boy who was serving to bring me watered rice, hearing this his eyes glittered.
I missed a few things, like 'saaga', 'badhi chura' & 'dahi', but still I loaded my stomach and clicked this one for my blog.

"Raw Emotions"

Though, all photographs are close to the heart of a photographer and I’m no different, yet we all have our own favorites!!! In this series, my favorite is the mother & son shot. When I saw the kid running while rolling the cycle tires ahead of him, I knew I’ve to capture it, and I immediately took out my cell phone, but unfortunately or fortunately the kid became aware & started running in the other direction holding his tiers……… hey buddy, I’m not going to steal your tiers, I just want a shot. He ran and hided behind his mother who in return stared at me with full suspicion, as if she was saying, “stay away from my child or else…………”.
Zoom in and you will get a better view of their expressions, the mother looking suspiciously at me and the boy’s innocent face. This appealed me so much that I clicked both of them.

Later when I narrated the story to my girl friend showing her the photograph, I asked her, “Do I look like a kidnaper……or a thief”?
She looked into my eye and said, “Yes dear, your are the thief who has stolen my heart”.

Quite filmy!!!!
